چکیده
Anthyllis hermanniae subsp. brutia, is an Italian endemic shrub occurring just in one locality by the Calabrian Ionian coast southern Italy. Objective of this study to provide data on population numbers, demography and ecology, as well identify main threats long term conservation target taxon. The survey has been carried out through field census work, sampling biometric dendrometric data, applying simple statistics. population, counting totally 962 individuals, divided two stands concentrated central part distribution area. It restricted a narrow belt inland dune slope encompassed between artificial pine forest at top, dune-specialized vegetation slope. Some insights, such stem diameter, plant height number annual rings, suggest role micro-ecology individual shaping. most relevant threating factor for rare taxon rapidly spreading Pinus halepensis halepensis. Local invasive alien species, deriving from planted now invading A. brutia habitat. Chorological ecological here provided should hopefully steer further dynamics investigation any urgent environment management actions.

Previous DNA relatedness and enzyme electrophoretic mobility studies indicated heterogeneity among strains of Legionella pneumophila serogroups 1, 4, 5, and Lansing 3 (a new, as yet unnumbered serogroup). In this study 60 L. pneumophila strains were studied by DNA hybridization (hydroxyapatite method) to assess their genomic relatedness. These strains were also studied biochemically and serolog...
